It was a privilege to photograph my grandmother over the holidays.

She has been a kind and welcoming presence throughout my entire life and being able to share time together and make pictures was a gift.

The images are all made in her apartment utilizing a single strobe and ambient light. I created a couple of different looks in the short time that we had and aimed to keep it consistent and clean, too The off-camera strobe had a MagMod MagSphere on it and the light was pointed into the corner of the room to provide a key light, but allow plenty of fill from the existing light to reduce the shadows.
