Creative Portraiture | South Bend, Indiana

Things got colorful in this creative portrait session with De’Aunte.

We played with light, color, poses, concepts, and props to generate a wide variety of images.

Overall, the undercurrent of the entire process was collaboration. We both were open with one another about what we were thinking and then we built new ideas together.

The result was a large batch of images that stand out but feel cohesive as a body of work.

Taking on creative portraiture allowed me to partner with my friends at EM EN Art House in South Bend, Indiana.

The sets available at the art house allowed us to move quickly but added a hefty amount of variety to the session. I also brought in off-camera strobes and gels to amplify the sets’ color and add my own creative touch.

Creative portraiture allows me to showcase a portion of my vision that doesn’t always get put on display when I am taking environmental portraits.

I feel that my creativity and vision are on display in the images we created together.

I am thankful for De’Aunte and his ability to bring energy and his creativity into the session. I am also grateful for all the work that Khoa and Madison put in to make the process seamless.

If you are interested in a creative portrait session, let me know your ideas, or we can brainstorm together! If you want to see my range of portraiture, check out my portfolio
