Lately, I’ve been photographing a lot in the higher education realm. These sessions mainly have me on campuses throughout the region.

This session with Sunjay and Milind for Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business sent me to Nimbello’s office to photograph the two. 

I came away with a couple of my favorite portraits I’ve made in a while. 

I used a single off-camera strobe with an umbrella to modify the light throughout the session. This straightforward method, paired with simplified backgrounds in the office, emphasizes the individuals in the frames. 

Taking an office space and making it into an on-location studio with off-camera strobes is one of my work's most fulfilling technical aspects.
